Just as soon as we returned from Tennessee, Cutie Face and I were packing for an 18-day Florida vacation. We drove down with Poppy (my dad), two cats, and a car full of presents.
Cutie Face went potty on the side of the road without any qualms (that's my girl!)
and we arrived in our sunny home 10-hours after our departure.
Cutie Face was elated to find her cousins, Lil Miss and Sweet Pea, already in Florida.
The days leading up to Christmas, she hung out in her uncle's cool hammock,
helped Mimi wrap some presents,
asked for the lights on the house and tree to be "Oon" at all times,
and wanted to be near Sweet Pea as much as possible.

We had high plans of putting the girls in nursery for the Christmas Eve service so that we adults could enjoy the program. Sadly, Lil Miss caught the croup so she was out. J and I, however, decided to put a healthy Cutie Face in the nursery.
I dropped her off where there was one worker and 12 children.
The worker barely noticed me until I mentioned that I was leaving the nursery. Idid not, however, tell Cutie Face that I was leaving--she was playing and didn't need me...or so I thought.
I will regret that moment forever.
Seriously.
Seriously.
I came back to the service and told J that there was only 1 worker for all those kids. We thought about it for a while and then, after about 5 minutes, decided to go check in on her.
Saddest moment of my life.
Cutie Face was in the corner looking very lost, very confused and completely hysterically beside herself. Even her indispensable security blanket wasn't helping since it was in the other room of the nursery.
It took her about 5 minutes to calm down and then we finally went back to the service as a family. You can see her at the end of the row:
Thankfully, after the service was concluded, she was back to her happy-go-lucky self and ready to check out the church's lights and decorations.
Once home, we got the girls ready for bed and then Poppy read them the Christmas book that J and I picked out for Cutie Face this year--Mortimer's Manger. It is such a sweet story with a great message about making room for Jesus.
Then we were all off to bed, getting ready for a fantastic Christmas morning!
